He was predeceased by: his wife Lois May Griffin; his parents, George Griffin and Lillie Griffin; his grandson Andrew Ward; and his siblings, George Griffin, Jr. and Mildred Griffin.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Griffin (Connie), Debra White (Frank), Linda Cannon (Jimmy), Karen Browder (Kenny), Paul Griffin (Rebecca), James Griffin and David Griffin (Lisa); his grandchildren, Joshua White (Brandi), Jonathan White (Taylor), Joseph Aaron Yakimovitz, Jason Halton Davis (Maria), Jeremy Griffin (Davi), Anjela Jowers (David), Lisa Sims (Kevin), Stephanie McNair (Caleb), Isabelle Griffin, Brandon Hatten (Brandy), Britney Caldwell (Jake) and April Griffin; his adoptive daughter Deborah Van Elswijk (Arthur); his siblings, Wayne Griffin (Beverly), Kathryn Sue Leonardini, Jean Smith and Cathy Miles; and also, Jadis, Tessa and Sonya. He is also survived by nineteen great grandchildren.
