He was predeceased by: his wife Josephine Fletcher; and his sisters, Bobbie Osborne and Melba Jean Weeks. He is survived by: his daughters, Sherry Avitabile (Bob), Ellen McCain (Harold), Jessica Fletcher, Dodie Neal (Mike) and Sheryl West-Fritz; and his siblings, Jane McGee (Burl) and Mike Fletcher (Carolyn). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other family members.
Memorials may be made to the Community Baptist Church or to the Alzhiemer's Association.
