He was predeceased by: his parents, Tim "O. T." Dumas and Ruth Dumas; and his grandson Weston Michael Tinsley. He is survived by: his wife Connie Dumas; his daughters, Dori Tinsley (Bill) and Brandy Dumas (Daniel); his son-in-law Richard Purdy; his grandchildren, Derrick Tinsley (Miranda), Bethany Solomon (Christian), Nicholas Tinsley (Jewel), Ayla Purdy and Taryn Tinsley; and his great grandchildren, Kyson "K. W." and Malia Solomon.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Way, Memphis, TN 38105.
