Chester M. Wilks Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 2, 2021, at the age of 97, Chester M. Wilks of West Monroe, Louisiana, born in Jamestown, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Wilks and Eva Wilks; his daughter Gloria Jean Miley; and his siblings, Jessie Sauce, Lela Griffin, Vernon, Edward (Charles Benjamin) of John, C. B. and Bobby Joe.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Wilks (Bettye); his daughters, Deborah Lynn Allen (Ralph) and Libby Maurine Fuller (Wayne); his brother James Lamar Wilks; and his grandchildren, Jody Peske (Cliff), Mark Fuller (Lisa), Rusty Allen (Dodie), Michele Arrant, Matthew Fuller (Mona), Mary Breland (Sam) and Chris Miley (Lindsey). He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Monroe building fund.
