He was predeceased by: his parents, Nerine Bumgardner and P. J. Bumgardner; and his siblings, Rita Spillers and Curtis Bumgardner. He is survived by: his children, Michael Bumgardner (Brandie) and Monica Turner (Brian); his grandchildren, Erin Etheridge (Caleb), Timothy Bumgardner, Madison Turner and Jacob Turner; and his brother William "Sonny" Bumgardner (Blondell). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
