He was predeceased by: his parents, H. D. Copeland and Ruby Copeland; the mother of his children Betty Copeland; and his sister Nellie Fae. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Copeland; his children, Glenn (Margaret), Donnie (Sweetpea), Jay (Alisha) and Darla (Eric); his grandchildren, Ashley, Cory, Cody, Coby, Zach, Macey, Taylor, Sydney, Baxter, Kailey and Adelie; his siblings, Bill, Don, Tommy, Johnny, Joyce, Bonnie, Mary, Lennie and Vicky; and his caregivers, Ginger Clampit, Shelley Mayeux, Sheleka Barnett, Bailey Bruce, Kayla Hatfield, Derrick Williams, Savannah Hipp, Darinesha and Asiyah. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
