He was predeceased by: his wife Mary D. Odom; his parents, Sherman Odom and Ola Odom; his sisters, Lila O. Dean, Clarice O. Durham and Ivelle O. Elliott; and his grandson Chris Odom.
He is survived by: his children, Randy K. Odom of Walker, LA, Carla O. Meyers of Baton Rouge, LA, Janis O. Pruett of West Monroe, Gary R. Odom (Linda) of San Antonio, TX and Sandra O. Guice (Sammy) of West Monroe; and his pet Booger. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, a sister in-law and his loyal companion.
