He was predeceased by: his former wife June T. Phelps; and his son Douglas Phelps. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Wall; his children, Carl Phelps Jr., Debby Johnson (Chuck) and Deanna Knighten; and his brother Gene Kepper. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
