It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Jean Smeby (West Monroe, Louisiana), who passed away on December 2, 2018, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jayson Gates and Vetoile Gates; and her brother Johnnie Gates. She is survived by: her child Jeff Smeby; her grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, Samantha, Colin, Schyler, Devon, Tyler, Marty Jr, Avery, Emily, John, Luke and Cooper; her sister-in-law Reba Gates; her siblings, Hollis Gates and Kathleen Sikes; her husband Jeanne Wilson; and her friends, Mike, Sheila Kay Downhour, Bill, Isabell Arnold and Stephanie Lipscomb. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
