He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter Weidman and Lydia Weidman (Lohman); his wife Gretchen S. Weidman; his son Steve Weidman (Gail) of Glendale, AZ; and his siblings, Harold Weidman (Virginia) of Salina and Margarie (Don) of Olathe, Kansas. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial Fund in Monroe, LA.
