With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Ann Batiste of Welsh, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 27, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Harrison Mitchell and Henry Greis; her husband Walter Batiste, Sr.; and her siblings, Lawrence Bihm, Viola Bihm, Laura Bihm, Rita Jackson and Matthew Mitchell.
She is survived by: her children, Dwayne Viney (Velta) of Jennings, LA., Rachel Greise, Stephanie Arceneaux of Welsh, LA. and Frances Tarver (George) of Cypress, TX; her sisters, Annie Mae Mitchell, Mary Ann Mitchell of Lake Charles, LA. and Elizabeth Bihm; and her godchildren, Greggory Clark, La Ron D. Vickers, James Simon and Raynard Mayfield. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 17 step-grandchildren, and 14 step great-grandchildren.
