He was predeceased by: his parents, Neal Duncan Goodwin and Florence Clossner Goodwin; his aunt Lillie Bell Closener; his sister Jo Duncan Price; and his granddaughter Brandi Michelle Pebworth.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth Goodwin; his sister Sarah Mericer; his children, Sharon Davis (Randy), Sissy Benard (Jim), Barbie Allen (Bryan) and Johnny Goodwin (Jackie); and his grandchildren, Danielle, Diane, Staci, Cory, Kayla, Colby, Lacey, Shelby and Sydney.
