He was predeceased by: his son Warren Squires; and his parents, Jake Lewis and Bernice Harrell Squires. He is survived by: his wife Judy Duncan Squires; his children, Jorie Landry, Terry (Ashley), Steve (Beth), Chris Stafford (Tiffany) and Trampas Duncan (Rachelle); and his sisters, June Lewright, Peggy Booth and Brenda Haralson. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
