She was predeceased by: her spouse Herbert Doucet, Sr.; her parents, Phillip Dawson and Addie Goudeau Dawson; her siblings, Essie Mae Goudeau, Ruth Battise, Josephine Alexander, Goudeau Dawson, Sterling Dawson and Phillip Dawson (Dominic); and her great grandchild Jordan D. Shelmire.
She is survived by: her children, Herbert Doucet, Jr. (Donna) of Palmetto, Israel Doucet, Sr. (Carolyn) of Rideau, Wanda Doucet (Clay) of Chicago, IL, Rosalind Doucet Morgan (Anthony) of Baton Rouge, Tyrone Doucet of Lebeau, Carolyn Doucet Chambers of Baton Rouge, Fran Doucet Shelmire (Kelvin) of Baton Rouge, Philip Doucet, Sr. (Sharon) of Nashville, TN, Madeline Doucet West (Roderick) of New Orleans and David Doucet (Perpetualist) of New Orleans; and her siblings, Leonard Dawson, Hermanese Johnson and Annie Roach. She is also survived by wife and mother, who taught her children.
