He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Deshotels and Clarence Deshotels; his sister Vera Arceneaux; and his grandson Justin Fontenot. He is survived by: his wife Clarisse Sandoz Deshotels; his children, Kevin Deshotels, Greg Deshotels (Leeanne) and Lesseley Deshotels Turner (Marc); and his sisters, Barbara (Terrell McGee), Jeanette (Dale Martin) and Marie (Alden Doucet). He is also survived by six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
