He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Johnson and Elvina Johnson; and his siblings, Curley Johnson, Alfred Johnson, Lou Wilda Garrett, Julia Johnson Young and Morena Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Frank Johnson, Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA, Horace Whiting of Houston, TX and Kimberlyn Johnson of Manville, NJ; and his siblings, David Johnson (Denise) of Washington, LA, Herbert Thomas of Baton Rouge, LA, Oleanna Carver of Houston, TX, Meliza Johnson of Ville Platte, LA and Ollie Edward (John). He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
