She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Budden (Chuck) of Palmetto and Rita Boudreaux Budden of Palmetto; her parent-in-law Felix Wartelle (Phil) of Washington; her sisters-in-law, Rita, Catherine, Claire and Ann; and also Josie Quirk Wartelle of Washington.
She is survived by: her husband Phil Wartelle; her children, Webb Wartelle (Leah) of Baton Rouge, Felix Wartelle of Washington and Edie Wartelle Balderree (John) of Grapevine; her grandson Collin Balderree; her stepgrandsons, Jordan Haddad of Albuquerque and Brett Haddad of Sydney; her children, Harly, Harper and Koa; and her siblings, Laura Budden Allegood of Washington, Bertha Budden Reed (Kenny) of Opelousas, Marx Budden (Sonny) of Palmetto and Guyton Budden (Vernita) of Palmetto.
Mae's family has requested that, because of her joy of reading and her love for her former students and fellow teachers, donations be made to the Bellingrath Hills Elementary Library for reading materials.
