He is survived by: his wife Imogene White Carr; his daughters, Chiquita and Nikisha Carr; his stepchildren, Patrice Reid (Montonio) and James Bolds, Jr.; his grandchildren, Xaiver Rossum and Kennedy Gibson; his stepgrandchildren, Logan, Landry Cannon and Khalani Reid; and his siblings, Melvin Carr, Wilfred Carr (Rita Renae), Lillian Mitchell (Eugene) and Lisa Dixon (Robert). He is also survived by sisters-in law, brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests monetary donations for the grandchildren's college fund.
