He is survived by: his brothers, Carl Jr. (Yvonne) and Larry (Brenda); his wife Barbara Gaudin Braud; his children, Delano Jr., Joy Braud Sims (Dedrick), Dax Braud Sr. (Amina) and Kristina Braud Jones (William); his grandchildren, Taelar, Jade (Joe), Delano III, William, Xaeda, Kaleb, Dax Jr. and Austin; and his great grandchild Jaicee.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Rhodes Funeral Home - Washington Avenue (3933 Washington Ave, New Orleans, LA 70125). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the D. W. Rhodes Funeral Home (3933 Washington Ave, New Orleans, LA 70125).
