It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Knight Mixon of Washington, Louisiana, who passed away on December 8, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Wayne Mixon, Sr.; her parents, Harrison Lamar Knight, Sr. and Louise Mae Kennedy Knight; and her siblings, Juanita Knight Steadman (Denny), Willie Knight Youngblood (Ora), Lillie Estelle Knight, Ouida Knight Hendry, William Henry Knight (Betty) and Harrison Lamar Knight, Jr. (Pat).
She is survived by: her children, Robert W. Mixon, Jr., Anita G. Mixon Cooper, Robin L. Mixon and Alicia E. Mixon; her grandchildren, Brandyn Cooper and Savannah Smith; her brother Lavon Knight (Ruby); and her close friend Charlie Easterling (Charlene). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
