She was predeceased by: her parents, Lesley Carter, Sr. and Beulah Mason Carter; and her brothers, LeRoy Carter and Lesley Carter, Jr. (Uncle Pa). She is survived by: her sister Bernice Nixon; her grandchildren, Benjamin Francis, Ariel Francis (Jade), Beverly Francis, Jonese Jones (Jon), Ross Goines, Tirzah Howard, Caleb Goines and Bethlehem Adams; and her daughters, Sandra Francis (Phil), Joycelyn Neyland, Tammy Neyland and Dawn Adams. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
