She was predeceased by: her husband Ronald Buschel; her parents, Charles Morain and Hilda Leblanc Morain; and her siblings, Pat Morain, Shirley Wyble and Mildred Ledoux.
She is survived by: her daughters, Erica Buschel (Morris "Peck" Oubre) and Gretchen Buschel (Mark "Mac" Jeansonne); and her sister Betty Morain Stelly (Jeffery).
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Skip Montet Chapel at LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas (2845 S Union St, Opelousas, LA 70570). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM and from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
