He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph LaPorte and Maggie Spitale LaPorte; his sister Jackie LaPorte Miller; and his siblings-in-law, Aubrey Guitreau, Emile Loupe, Jr., Vic Vickers, Alan Vickers and Sandra Gordon.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Vickers LaPorte; his son Thomas J. LaPorte, Jr. (Tanya); his granddaughter Lillian LaPorte; his sisters, Carolyn Guitreau and Barbara Loupe; his sister-in-law Patricia Moore; his niece Laura Bienvenue; and his great-niece Kelli Whittington. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Greenwell Springs Baptist Church (19421 Greenwell Springs Rd, Greenwell Springs, LA 70739). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at the Greenwell Springs Church Cemetery (19421 Greenwell Springs Rd, Greenwell Springs, LA 70739).
