She was predeceased by: her parents, P. D. Smith and Maxine Smith; and her sons, Darryl, Morris and Tokey.

She is survived by: her fiancé Gary Derouchey; and her children, Carlin Matherne (Katelyn), Brandon Matherne (Jennifer), Michelle Matherne and Missy Matherne. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and numerous extended family.
