He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Sr. Shelton and Mary Santangelo Shelton; his siblings, Homer Shelton Jr. and Margaret Ann Cooper; and his great-nephew Randy Earl Sawyer, Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Wanda Irene Shelton; his children, Cathy (David Ellis), Chrissy (Jerry Murphy) and John Jr.; his daughter-in-law Hannah Vindigni; his grandchildren, Candace Ellis, Matthew Ellis, Madison Ellis, Gabe Ellis, Summer Clement, Ellana Fawcett and John Preston Vindigni; his brother Johnny; his sister-in-law Sharla Shelton; and his nieces, Amanda Shelton and Amy Shelton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

We request in lieu of flowers, charitable donations be made in honor of Jerry Shelton to the Dream Day Foundation which funds multiple activities for children within the St. Jude's Children's Foundation, including the "Fishin' Galore" event.
