He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Willie" Weeks and Nan Speed Weeks; his former wife Joyce Harvey Weeks; his son David Jerry Weeks, Jr.; and his siblings, Dan Weeks, Jeanette Jackson and Charlotte Drane.
He is survived by: his wife Laverne Weeks; his children, Rachel Gordon (Kenneth), Ronnie Weeks, Sr. and Janet Curtis (Dewayne); his stepchildren, Darryl Matthews (Viki) and Dawn Richmond (Brian); his grandchildren, David Byrum, Kristen Byrum, Peter Tarnabine, Jr., Ronnie Weeks, Jr. and Caleb Curtis; and his great grandchildren, Andrew Byrum, Emmy Lou Byrum and Annitston Weeks.
