He is survived by: his wife Sharon Smith Boogaerts; his children, Jennifer Boogaerts Melson and Brian David Boogaerts; his siblings, Frances Boogaerts Thigpen, B. Patrick Boogaerts and Daniel "Danny" Felix Boogaerts; and his grandchildren, Hunter Allan Melson, Peyton Allan Melson, Lillian Sparrow Jean Boogaerts, Zooey Raen Boogaerts and Bailey Michelle Boogaerts.
