It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lisa Hawkins of Waggaman, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on August 27, 2020, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her father Joseph Jones Sr.; her husband Joseph Hawkins Jr.; her children, Aisha Jones and Jovan Hawkins (Devante); her grandchildren, Jovonta Jone, Tana, Ja Collins, Jahira Robinson, Amen Robinson and Hrasiba Robinson; her stepchildren, Jerrilyn Hawkins, Joseph Robinson, Jorell Hawkins and Jayla Hawkins; her siblings, Rose Claborne (Charles), Desired Hawkins (Carl), Erica Jones (Keith), Gregory Jones (Vanessa), Eric Jones (Keisha) and Melvin Polly; her mother-in-law Viola Hawkins; her siblings-in-law, Donna Jefferson (Kevin), Sheryl Sam (Ernest), Tonya Simmons (Craig), Carol Gullage (Tyrone), Alberna Jones, Ernest Hawkins (late Shirley), Dennis Hawkins (Phyillis), Bryan Hawkins (Dana), Carl Hawkins (Desired) and Corey Hawkins (Kesha); her aunts, Annie Edgerson and Florence Watts; her uncle Leroy Green; and her godchild Damon Jones. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
