He is survived by: his wife Sissy Dickson of Vivian, LA; his son John Wayne Dickson of Tennessee; his stepchildren, Cathy Love (Joe) of Dickinson, TX, Becky Sue Smith of Bowie, TX and Kevin Smith of Minco, OK; and his sisters, Doris and Mary. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
