He was predeceased by: his parents, Evon Garrett and Bobby Joe Garrett; and his brother Bobby Gene Garrett. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Garrett; his son Brett Garrett; his siblings, Dean Garrett and Beverly Weiss (Eric); and his sister-in-law Patsy Garrett. He is also survived by friends and neighbors.

Through his kind contributions to Faith House he provided homes for those less fortunate.
