He was predeceased by: his former wife Patricia Jo Stewart; his parents, Helen McCathran Stewart and James Marshall Stewart; his siblings, James Marshall Stewart Jr. and Anna Peters; and his daughter Carolyn Brice.
He is survived by: his wife PJ; his sister Betty Skinner (Carl); the mother of his children Lottie Stewart; his children, Jay Stewart (Lisa), Susan Mullendore (Chris) and Chip Balthrop (Karen); his grandchildren, John Wallace Stewart, Matthew Ryan Stewart (Shelby Laffite), Shelby Elizabeth Stewart, Kayleigh Grace Stewart, Leann Elizabeth Mullendore, Kristen Diane Mullendore, Bailey Palmer (Hunter) and Nicholas Balthrop; and his great grandchild Braylon Ryan Stewart. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews along with a large host of friends.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
