It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garland Oliver West Sr. (Vivian, Louisiana), born in Coleman, Texas, who passed away on May 27, 2018, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Lucy Plunkett West; his parents, James Oliver West and Ora V. Pardue West; his stepfather Palmore Rankin Price; his sons, Garland Oliver West, Jr. and Ronald West; and his siblings, James West, Benjamin "Bennie" West, John West, Truman Lee Price, Lester "Sis" Duncan and Leta Mae Williams.
He is survived by: his great-grandparent Garland Oliver "Papa" West, Sr of Gray; his children, David O. West (Donna) of Jacksonville, FL, Sidney Havard (Lena) of Simsboro, LA, Tommy West (Pam) of Gray, TX and Teri Smith (Mike) of Little Elm, TX.; and his siblings, Ralph E. West (Juanita) and Winnie Miller (Ben). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
