He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Cloyes Stanley and Charlie Charlene Alexander Stanley; and his siblings, Donald Stanley and Charlotte Baugh. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Beckham Stanley; his children, Ricky (Janet Stanley), Susan (Jimmy Barr), Timmy (Wanda Stanley), Tommy (Frankie Stanley), LoAnn (Tim Dodge) and Debbie Woodell; and his sisters, Glenda Faye Henley and Gwen Dykes. He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren.
