He was predeceased by: his parent Cloie Pettitt; his brother Kenneth Pettitt; and his close friend Alice Coleman. He is survived by: his sons, Bob Jr. and Jerry (Shirley); his grandsons, Paul (Katie), Charles (Julie), Rich and Jake; his sister Betty Eakin; his sister-in-law Sammie Pettitt; and his nieces, Pam Tiner and Nikki Castaldi.
