He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake, Sr. Hooper and Lizzie Hill Hooper; his wife Gloria E. Hooper; and his grandchildren, Deangelo Dale, Jordan Brown and Ash'Lai Hooper.
He is survived by: his children, Lizzie, Doris, Brenda of Memphis, TN, Mary Lisa, Elvis Brooks (Jaquita) of Charleston, MS, Ken Enclarde (Lajordan), Jere, Lakisha Hooper-Jones (Jacob), Avriane, Faren Hooper, Clarence Richard (Brandi) of New Orleans, LA and Amy Jeansonne of New Orleans, LA; his siblings, John Hooper of New Orleans, LA and Cora Towers of Glendora, MS; and his mother-in-law Louise Barthelemy. He is also survived by seven sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, thirty five grandchildren, thirty eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, a host of other relatives and friends.
