As Ida Mae departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Ida Mae. Though Ida Mae may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her husband William A Ward (Red); her son William A Ward Jr. (Billy); and her brother Raymond McMahon (Ethel McMahon) of Oak Grove, MS.. She is survived by: her daughter Bonnie Ward Barnett; her son-in-law Jimmy Barnett; her granddaughters, Kimberley Barnett Rijo and Gina Barnett Debrew; and her great grandchildren, Kylie Warden, Amaya, Alisa, Adrian, Payton Rijo and Paije Lassalle. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Community Center (673 Eatonville Rd, Hattiesburg, MS 39401).
