He is survived by: his wife Barbara Edwards Kane; his children, Valerie Kane-Cox, Felicia Kane Nichols, Catherine Lewis and John Edwards; his grandchildren, Alicia Kirkland, Tianna Cox, Michael Cox, Antonio Nichols, Jr., Demetrick Nichols, Anthony Nichols, Andria Nichols, Maiya Snowton, Laylah Straughn, JaVon Lykes, Paris Blanchard and John Edwards, Jr.; his brother Grant Kane; his children-in-law, Conchetta Edwards, Alphonso Cox and Antonio Nichols Sr.; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Kane, Helen Edwards, Joyce Edwards, Arthur Edwards, Alvin Edwards and Phillip Edwards. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
