He was predeceased by: his wife Freida Marie Finn Roach; his parents, John W. Roach, Sr. and Mary Sue Simms Roach; and his sister Virginia Smith. He is survived by: his children, Tommy Sandifer, Michol Sandifer, Elaine Terry (Sandifer), Heidi Jacobson and Christina Hladik. He is also survived by three grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews.
