She was predeceased by: her parents, Jospeh Delafosse and Eula Delafosse; her children, Dorothy Fontenot and Johnathon Fontenot; and her siblings, Ray Delafosse of Hersey Delafosse, J. D, Verlon Delafosse, Herley Delafosse, Donald Delafosse, Molly Tate, Hazel Ortego and Janette Comeaux.
She is survived by: her husband Dewey Fontenot; her sister Myrtle Landreneau of Mamou, LA; and her children, James Fontenot (Regina), Chuck Fontenot (Donna), Jacob Fontenot (Erron) and Margaret Fontenot Bourke. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
