With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Una Fontenot of Ville Platte, Louisiana, who passed away on November 6, 2020 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Adam Tate and Atille Guillory; her husband Elmand Ray Fontenot; her daughter Dianna Fontenot Manuel; and her siblings, Rose Ardoin, Ura Duos, Lou Jane Guillory, Wilson Tate and Willis Tate.
She is survived by: her children, Mitchell James Fontenot (Jackie), Eugene M. Fontenot, MD (Joanne) and Rita Faye Smart (Anson); and her grandchildren, Tony Manuel, Andrea Suarez, Jessica Moorehead, Jennifer Earnhart (Sid), Joshua Fontenot (Megan), Sara Lafleur (Trey), Jacob Fontenot, Aimee, Katherine Fontenot and Garret Smart. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
