With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sheryl Reed Richardson of Ville Platte, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 11, 2024 at the age of 69. As we bid Sheryl Reed farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Sheryl Reed is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Burkeman Reed and Euna Courville Reed; and her siblings, Ricky Reed, Wayne Reed, Gerilyn Maricle, Catherine Duplechin and Angela Reed Mynarzy.
She is survived by: her sons, David Charlie (Samantha) of Mamou, Kenneth Charlie (Jada) of Ville Platte and Michael Charlie of Baton Rouge; and her sister Shelia Ardoin (Ernest "Peanut") of Ville Platte. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the LaVille Funeral Home Chapel (2353 E Main St, Ville Platte, LA 70586).
