She was predeceased by: her parents, Noah Fontenot and Regina B. Fontenot (Joseph Berlin Matte); her son Samuel Matte; her grandson Alex Cain Reed; her brother Wadeness Fontenot; and her nephew Mark Krasnoff.
She is survived by: her children, Rapheal Matte (Charlene) of Belaire Cove and Jackie Reed of Belaire Cove; her daughter-in-law Tammy Matte; her sister Ruby Holmes of Ville Platte; and her grandchildren, Kristie Matte Vidrine (Dustin), Jarred Matte, Brooks Lafleur, Clay Lafleur, Billi Matte Rider (Chris), Adrienne Matte Perrodin (Guy) and Sarah Matte Lemoine (Michael). She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
