He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce Fontenot and Hattie Fuselier Fontenot; his wife Yvonne Fontenot; his daughter Yvonne Marie Fontenot; and his brother Kern Fontenot.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard Fontenot and Rod Fontenot (Debbie); his grandchildren, Tim Stilly and Tiffany Vincent; and his sisters, Abagail Fontenot and Phoebe Chelette.
