Rella V. Fontenot Obituary
With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Rella V. Fontenot of Ville Platte, Louisiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Rella left this world on September 23, 2024 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Mack Vidrine (Armid Fontenot Vidrine) and Rella; her son Francis Benney Fontenot; and her siblings, Clanny Vidrine, Pervis Vidrine and Dorothy Fontenot.
She is survived by: her children, Ronnie Fontenot (Selina), Tony Fontenot (Pam) and Caroline Taylor (John); her daughter-in-law Christine Fontenot; her grandchildren, Delaney Fontenot, Coty Fontenot, Jonie Perron, Callie Ardoin, Kyle Fontenot, Kitty Thibodeaux, Gabe Fontenot and Tyler Lavergne; and her brother Norwood Vidrine. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 26th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Ardoin's Funeral Home (709 W Main St, Ville Platte, LA 70586). A rosary was held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church (708 E Main St, Ville Platte, LA 70586). A burial was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 at the Belaire Cove Cemetery.
