He was predeceased by: his parents, James Jules DeJean and Marian Elaine Breaux DeJean; his brother Charles DeJean; and his nephew Jacques DeJean. He is survived by: his wife Kathy LaBorde DeJean of Ville Platte; his son Jerad Cedars of Lake Charles; his granddaughter Kaia Cedars; his sister Jimmie Lou Breaux (Richard) of South Carolina; his nephew Daugenet Breaux (Michelle); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Louis and Jules of South Carolina; his niece Jennifer Frederick (Robert); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Fox and Fallon of South Carolina.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Freedom Family Church (216 Chicot Park Rd, Ville Platte, LA 70586).
