He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Tonnie Belle Fontenot and Nasen Joseph Fontenot Sr.; his wife Brenda Fontenot; his son Benjamin Fontenot of Baton Rouge; his brother John Wayne Fontenot of Lafayette; his children, Lindsey, Kayra and Courtney; his caregivers, Nasen, Dr. Greg Ardoin, Dr. Paul Miller, Dr. Daniel Frey, Dr. John Higginbotham, Dr. Chuck Monier, Dr. Jake Lafleur, Dr. Tommy Fontenot and Dr. Brandon Fontenot; and also Monica Lafleur.
