It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred Pearl Andrepont Holden of Ville Platte, Louisiana, born in Opelousas, Louisiana, who passed away on March 4, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth Gautreaux Andrepont and Martin Andrepont; her former husband Cody Griffith; her sister Joyce Elliot; her stepbrother Donald Andrepont; her son-in-law Charles Goudeau; and her niece Beth Elliot.
She is survived by: her husband John R. Holden; her children, Karen Griffith, Wanda Dupre (John Ellis) and Cody Glenn Griffith (Candy); her stepchildren, Glenn Holden (Dee Lynn Holden), Theresa Bailey (Murphy) and Bobby Holden (Nicky); her siblings, Viola Whittington, Sandy Andrepont and Joe Andrepont; her grandchildren, Amy Fontenot (Barry), Andi Fontenot (Kevin), Cody Evan Griffith Erin (Monica), Mikey Fontenot (Blair), Matt Fontenot, Michelle Fontenot, Courtney Goudeau and Charlie Fournerat (Tim); her stepgrandchildren, Adam Holden, Katie Holden, Shawn Bailey, Kayla Bailey, Cully Holden and Cruz Holden; and her great great grandchild Elle Catherine Fontenot. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church (1059 Calvary Baptist Rd, Ville Platte, LA 70586). A burial was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Friendship Baptist Church (1020 Crooked Creek Pkwy, Ville Platte, LA 70586).
