He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldrige Fontenot and Emily Fontenot. He is survived by: his wife Faye Fontenot; his children, Darren Fontenot (Sandy), Patrick Fontenot (Angie) and April Cavallo (Kyle); his grandchildren, Morgan Fontenot, Maddie Fontenot Kirsch, Tatyana Fontenot, Jonathan Fontenot, Noah Fontenot, Reece Cavallo, Matthew Fontenot, Braden Fontenot, Luke Cavallo, Molly Fontenot and Soleil Cavallo; and his sisters, Bonnie Hollier and Debby Lawson.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Ardoin's Funeral Home (709 W Main St, Ville Platte, LA 70586). A rosary was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Peter Catholic Church (1309 1st St, Pine Prairie, LA 70576). A burial was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Vandenburg Cemetery.
