He was predeceased by: his daughter Mary Catherine Colligan; his parents, Joseph Bertrand Colligan, Sr. and Higginbotham Colligan of Louisiana; and his siblings, Joseph Bertrand Colligan, Jr. and Josephine Colligan.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Dupre Colligan; his children, James "Jim" Colligan, Jr. (Janice), Robert Colligan (Rachel), Ted Colligan (Kim), Kelly Colligan (Lisa), Barbara Bayard (William), Patrice Hemmi (Randy) and Connie Buller (Mark); and his sisters, Norma Colligan Goff, Theresa Colligan Michaels (Richard) and Carol Ann Colligan Portier (Troy). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren 10 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of James C. Colligan to the Sacred Heart School Foundation, Miles Perret Cancer Services, or The National WWII Museum.
