He is survived by: his wife Brenda Savant Shipp of Ville Platte; his children, Daniel James Shipp, Kellie Fruge of Arnaudville, Hope Fontenot (Ryan) of Kingwood, TX, Kevin Shipp (Danielle) of Ville Platte and Heather Perritt (Lawrence) of St. Joseph; his sisters, Martha Miller (Keith), Paula DeShetler (Scott) of Highlands Ranch, CO, Julie Darbonne (Randy) of Kingwood, TX and Rosemary Benoit (Ben) of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Bevan Dupre (Heather), Seth Shipp, Logan Shipp, Lyndsey Fontenot, Caroline Dupre, Cody Shipp, Lauren Shipp, Gabrielle Fontenot, Abigail Dupre and Ellis Shipp; his stepgrandchildren, Allen Perritt, Adam Perritt and Alexandra Perritt; his great grandchild Hadley Dupre; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Rhett Perritt and Jace Perritt.
